Xero Shoes Scrambler Mid is a new addition to our collection! A hiking shoe that keeps your feet dry in all weather. This shoe offers a barefoot trail shoe with extremely good grip, while being incredibly light and comfortable on the foot. The ground feel is excellent thanks to the thin zero-drop sole, and the upper is made of well-ventilated mesh with reinforcements at the toe box and sides, while being water-resistant. Scrambler Mid is a trail shoe suitable for hiking and outdoor activities. The fit is extremely comfortable, materials are soft, toe box is wide, weight is low - while the Michelin sole does the hard work. Scrambler Mid has everything one could wish for in a great trail shoe!

Xero Scrambler Low + Mid - Herr
To choose the right size, do this : Measure your foot. Place your heel against a wall and measure to the longest toe. This is your foot measurement. Add 0.8-1.5 cm to this measurement to know which size to choose. Check the size chart below.
Example: Your foot measurement is 25.5 cm. Choose size 41 (26.5 cm) and you will have 1 cm extra.

The special feature of the Scrambler Mid is the outsole, which is made of Michelin rubber and has a really good grip even in the toughest terrain! The shoe has an extremely low shoe weight, and combined with the thin sole, you get an incredibly comfortable barefoot feel in these shoes. The outsole has a thickness of about 4 mm plus grooves, and the removable insole is about 3.5 mm, which you can remove if you want an even thinner shoe. The ground feel in the shoes is good but they feel slightly more cushioned than the thinnest barefoot shoes on the market.

I have Vivobarefoot Tracker and a pair of Xero low-top shoes. These Xerox Mid II are thinner than Vivobarefoot which means you can use them in summer and spring/autumn/winter down to about -5 degrees. Very comfortable shoes for the foot and perhaps the best so far, also surprisingly good grip on ice and snow. No chafing yet and the shoes are very stylish so they can be used for everyday use and for tough hiking because they are completely waterproof if you keep the water level above the shoe tongue. Very soft and comfortable transition from heel to toe when walking, hard to describe and needs to be experienced. If I were to give any negative feedback, I wish the shoe laces were round and not rectangular because I use the quick-attach method and think it takes too much time to tie the laces when I use the shoes for everyday use. I can highly recommend these shoes for wide toe beginners and experienced.
