Xero Shoes Mesa Trail II is a barefoot shoe for trail running, forest walks, and other activities where you need good traction for terrain. The outsole is made of FeelTrue™ rubber with 3.5 millimeter deep grooves. Inside the shoe, there's a layer of TrailFoam™ at 3.5 mm, which feels comfortable even in difficult terrain. If you want a barefoot feel, you can remove the 2 mm insole, and if you want more cushioning, you can keep it in.
The upper side of the shoe is made of well-ventilated mesh, so the shoes effectively remove moisture during workouts. Mesa Trail II is an improved version where reinforcements have been made on the inside, outside, and on the toe box for the shoe to withstand more wear. The improved version II is also slightly lighter than its predecessor.
Xero Shoes Mesa Trail II has a wide toe box that allows the toes to spread out. The sole is completely flat with zero drop from heel to toe. The sole is flexible, providing good ground contact during running, yet offers enough protection to handle even challenging terrain.
This model is Men's and is slightly wider in the last than the Women's model. The Men's model can also be advantageously used by women with wide feet.
