A very soft and light shoe! Thanks to the Fitlock™ system, the shoe hugs and locks securely around the foot and last, while your toes can splay in the generous toe box. The sole is very soft yet still offers a lively, responsive bounce. The shoes are wide but fairly low in volume over the toes. Xter has a 10 mm drop, and you can feel it—so if you’re used to flat or minimal shoes, this might not be the one. Annika has wide, fairly high-volume feet and the fit is excellent on her. Because the lacing extends far down over the instep, it’s easy to fine-tune the fit, making it work for many foot shapes. “My first thought is that they’re so light and roll beautifully.” If you value cushioning/drop and want a stable, locked-in fit with responsive rebound and a roomy toe box, this model is a clear choice.

The VJ Sarva XTER is a water-resistant and versatile running shoe designed to perform on various surfaces, thanks to its 4.5 mm deep grip pattern. Please note that these are not barefoot shoes, but they have an incredibly comfortable foot-shaped design. To get the right size, do this: Measure your feet from heel to toe (e.g. with your heel against a wall and measure to the longest toe.) This is your foot measurement. Add about 1-1.7 cm extra space to get the right size. Keep in mind that you may want to have a lot of extra space in running shoes because your feet swell when you get hot during exercise.
