Regularly treat the shoes with a protective spray to protect the shoe from dirt and at the same time maintain the waterproof membrane. For example, this one from Collonil.
TIP: For a more barefoot feel, use the shoes without the insole, this also provides a bit more width to the shoes.
Size chart:
Measure your feet (with the heel against a wall, up to the longest toe). Add 0.5-1.2 cm for extra space inside the shoes and follow the size indications in the size chart. The size chart is the insole's measurements.
Example: Your foot measurement is 24.9 cm. Then choose size 40 (26.0) and you will have 1.1 cm extra space.
