Reima Loskari is the perfect winter boot for children when you want a warm shoe that can handle both slush and cold. Loskari is suitable for outdoor play in all weather, whether it's early spring slush or colder winter weather. Loskari is easy to slip on and quickly becomes a daily favorite for the child. The inside is covered with warm fleece, the outer sole has good grip, and the lower part of the outside is made of waterproof rubber. The toe box is wide so the toes can spread out, and the sole is soft and flexible.

Please note that sizes 25-35 have a small drop and are therefore not completely barefoot shoes (although not as high as the image shows, the lighter high edge is an illusion).

Refer to the size chart below.
Size chart
Reima Loskari

To choose the right size , measure your child's foot by placing the heel against a wall and measuring to the longest toe. Add 1.2-1.7 cm to this foot measurement to get the correct size according to the table below. We have checked the shoes but it is difficult to get it exactly to the millimeter because the shoes give a little when measuring. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger option.

We have checked the inside measurement of Widetoes:

Size: inner dimensions

  • 20: 13cm
  • 21: 13.8
  • 22: 14.4
  • 23: 15cm
  • 24: 15.6cm
  • 25: 16.2cm
  • 26: 17cm
  • 27: 17.8cm
  • 28: 18.2cm
  • 29: 19cm
  • 30: 19.5cm
  • 31: 20.2
  • 32: 21cm
  • 33: 21.7cm
  • 34: 22.2cm
  • 35: 23cm
Kuvaus

Material:

  • Bottom part of the boot in waterproof rubber
  • Upper part in synthetic and textile, not waterproof.
  • Fleece lining
  • Outsole in thermoplastic rubber

What we like about this shoe:

  • Wide toe box
  • Flexible sole
  • Slightly thicker sole but not as thick as the picture shows, the high heel is an illusion.
  • Note that this sole is not completely barefoot. Sizes 20-24 are zero drop without elevation under the heel, so they are essentially a barefoot shoe with a slightly thicker sole. Sizes 25 and up have a few mm drop from heel to toe.
  • Practical shoe that works well as an all-round shoe for daycare, preschool, and school.
  • Easy to pull on and completely waterproof on the lower part of the shoe.

Fit and size advice:

  • Suitable for a normal to wide foot
  • Suitable for a normal to high foot - a spacious model that also fits high and wide feet.
  • If the child has a narrow or low foot, this model may fit too loosely around the foot. See the size chart below

On-the-foot feel:

  • This shoe model is perfect for kids to put on by themselves. The soft fleece lining keeps little feet nice and warm. Selda, age 2, has regular-width, low-volume feet, and the shoes fit her well. We initially thought they might be too loose, but they worked out great – especially with wool socks. Saga, also 2 years old, has wide, average-height feet, and the Loskari model fits her very well too. She also has room for wool socks. So this model works nicely for a variety of foot shapes.

Lining:

  • Warm fleece lining. According to Reima, the shoes are suitable for slush and winter weather down to about -10 degrees. For colder temperatures, a wool sock can be used inside the shoe.

Care instructions:

  • Wipe with a damp cloth. Spray the bottom part with Collonil Gum Boot Care and the upper part with Collonil Protect & Care to keep the shoes looking nice and fine longer. No fluorocarbons. No PVC materials. Designed in Finland for Nordic conditions. Made in China.

Ej flexibel sula

The information about the shoe is unfortunately misleading. When we opened the shoe, we immediately felt that it was extremely stiff and stiff. For it to be a genuine barefoot shoe, I think three things are required. Wide toe box, zero drop and a flexible sole that follows the foot rather than the foot following the shoe. This sole was thin at the front at the toes, but at the heel it was much thicker, closer to 2cm thick and not 4mm or similar. Then it was not possible to squeeze the shoe together as a flexible sole makes possible. If the child steps sideways, the shoe will not follow the foot's movements, and there is a risk of sprain. So it does not meet two of the three criteria. I am returning this shoe, and testing Kuoma Hanki instead as it seems to meet all the criteria according to a YouTube video. Widetoes replies: Hi Alexander! Thank you for your feedback. This model is not a barefoot shoe but a compromise shoe, which means that it primarily has a wider sole than regular shoes, but can have both a certain drop and a stiffer sole than barefoot shoes. Under the Additional Information tab, it also says that the sole is cushioned and over 12 mm thick, and not 4 mm like many barefoot shoes.

Smala skaft

They seem really warm and nice but unfortunately (!!) the shaft is very narrow. Even without pants and socks, the boot leaves a mark on my child's legs. My child has normal legs.
