Merrell Vapor Glove 7 Leather is a lightweight and flexible barefoot shoe for those who want to move naturally with maximum ground feel. The shoes feature a soft leather upper, while the Vibram® outsole delivers reliable grip on both dry and wet surfaces. A wide toe box and zero-drop sole encourage a natural foot position and movement. This minimalist shoe is a great choice for an active everyday lifestyle, as well as running, training and walking.
Merrell Vapor Glove 7 is available in both women’s and men’s versions.
To choose the right size, do this : Measure your foot. Place your heel against a wall and measure to the longest toe. This is your foot measurement. Add 0.8-1.5 cm to this measurement to know which size to choose. Check the size chart below.
Example: Your foot measurement is 29 cm. Choose size 47 and you will have 1.1 cm extra space in your shoes.

Fit and sizing:
- Width: Suitable for narrow to medium-width feet. Wide toe box with a close, secure fit over the midfoot.
- Volume: Suitable for low to medium volume feet.
- Size: Runs slightly small. These differ from the measurements of the Vapor Glove 6 Leather, so always check the size chart before purchasing.
Feel on foot:
- Joas, who has a narrow foot with low volume, finds the Merrell Vapor Glove 7 Leather very comfortable and soft on the foot. What stands out to him most is how lightweight the shoe feels, almost like wearing only a sock. He is also surprised by how soft the shoe feels considering that it is made of leather. The fit is close and enveloping around most of the foot, while the toe box offers plenty of room both in width and height. This gives the shoe a flexible yet secure feel without feeling cramped in the front. The lacing also helps fine-tune the fit, allowing the model to sit nicely even on his narrower, lower-volume foot. He normally wears size 46, but needs size 47 to get the right length, which suggests that the model runs small.
Leslie, who has a wide foot with normal volume and a foot length of 25 cm, tries size 41. Although the length works well for him, the shoe feels a little too snug for his wide feet. It is therefore not a model he would personally choose, even though he finds the shoe soft and comfortable.
Care instructions:
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth and treat regularly with Collonil Organic Cover to give the shoes a little extra protection against dirt and moisture.
