Groundies Tucson is a high-cut barefoot boot crafted from soft suede, paired with the flexible TrueSense® Urban Classic outsole for great ground feel and natural movement. It’s a perfect choice for everyday wear and city life during colder months. For extra warmth, simply add a wool insole. Tucson combines timeless design with true barefoot comfort – it looks as good as it feels. Designed in Germany, made in Portugal.
Groundies offers a foot-shaped toe box, but with a slimmer overall fit compared to many other barefoot brands – best suited for narrow to medium-width feet. This particular model has no seams at the front, which allows it to adapt better to the width of the foot.

The size chart measures the inside measurements of the shoe. To choose the right size, measure your own foot with your heel against a wall and up to the longest toe. This is your foot measurement. To choose the right size, add 1-1.5 cm to your foot measurement.

On-the-foot feel:
These shoes are exceptionally soft – both the suede leather and the textile lining feel very pleasant against the skin. Fanny has a wide and high-volume foot, and this model fits her very well. Many Groundies models tend to be too narrow for her, but this one gives more width because there are no seams at the front that would press against the toe box. However, the shaft has no stretch, so for Fanny – who has slightly wider calves – the top of the shaft feels a bit tight. Natalia has a low and medium-width foot, and the model fits her really well – around the foot, ankle, and calf.
Both agree that the shoes are very comfortable. The soft materials wrap around the foot in a pleasant way. The fit is true to size, possibly slightly generous in length. We recommend checking the size chart before purchasing to ensure the best fit.
Care instruction:
- Bruched leahter/Suede: Clean the shoes with a damp cloth and let it dry. Regularly treat with a spray, for ex: Collonil Organic Cover to keep the leather in good condition and to protect the shoes better from dirt and moisture. To maintain the brushed suede finish, always use spray – avoid creams or waxes.
Designed in Germany. Manufactured in Portugal under strict European rules regarding health, safety, and quality.
Tip: Insert a barefoot wool insole to make the shoes warmer during the winter months.
