What we love about these shoes:
Perfect for both slush and cold conditions
Fit:
On-the-foot feel:
The Ottawa model has two velcro straps, making it easy to put on and simple to adjust for a good fit. We initially thought this model might be too tight for Elliot, age 3, who has regular-width, high-volume feet – but it actually fit him surprisingly well. Elliot’s foot measures 15.5 cm, and in this model, he tried size 27, which fits him well lengthwise. Maria, age 4, has low-volume, narrow feet, and she also tried size 27 (her foot is also 15.5 cm). The model fits her really nicely too. You can definitely tell there's more room in Maria’s shoe compared to Elliot’s, but surprisingly, the fit works well for both of their foot shapes. As mentioned, Elliot’s feet are high but not particularly wide. So if your child has feet that are both wide and high, this model might feel too tight. But if the foot is similar to Elliot’s – or wide but slightly lower – this model will most likely work really well!
Care instructions:
Tip!: Because the sole is thin, ground insulation is limited. Add a genuine wool insole, or choose half to one size up to make room for wool socks.
Groundies Ottawa Kids are soft, warm winter shoes. The upper is made from recycled mesh that is water-resistant to keep feet dry. A soft lining adds warmth, and the two Velcro straps make them easy for kids to put on and take off by themselves. The shoes feature a wide toe box, a zero-drop sole, and a comfortable barefoot feel. A water-resistant winter shoe that’s perfect for play in the cold and slush.

▷ Measure Your Feet Like This (Video)
How to Determine the Right Size: Measure your child's feet by placing them in a box or against a wall, ensuring their foot is flat against the surface.Have the child put weight on the foot and measure from the wall to the tip of the longest toe. This is the foot length. Add 1.2–1.8 cm to this measurement to find the correct shoe size.
