D.D. Step Leather barefoot sneakers SweetStep are comfortable barefoot shoes for children. With a wide toe box and a very flexible, thin outsole, they give little feet the freedom they need. The shoes are made from leather, which is naturally water-repellent. The outsole on this cute shoe is extra special, as it is made from sugarcane and rubber!
These shoes are well suited for spring and autumn, but also for cooler summer days.
Note! Please check the size chart before purchasing.
To choose the right size : Measure your child's foot. Place the heel against a wall (or inside a cardboard box with the heel against one side) and measure to the longest toe. This is the foot measurement. Always use the longer measurement if your feet are different sizes. Add 1-1.5 cm to this measurement to know which size to choose. Check the size chart below.
Keep in mind: Children's feet grow quickly, so you may want to choose a larger shoe if you're considering two options. The lining inside the shoe also takes up space, which means you need to allow for more room inside the shoe.
Example: The child's foot measurement is 17.4 cm. Then choose size 30 (19.2 cm) and the foot will have 1.8 cm extra space.
(The materials are a combination of natural, renewable materials. The leather comes from an LWG-certified tannery.)
What we like about this shoe:
Fit:
How it feels on the foot:
Greta’s foot is 17.9 cm long, average in width and medium-high in volume. D.D. Step SweetStep in size 30 fits her well. The model has a nicely shaped, wide toe box that offers plenty of room at the front, allowing the toes to rest in a more natural position without feeling squeezed.
Over the top of the foot, the model feels slightly roomy in volume, but the shoe still fits well and stays securely in place thanks to the fit and the adjustable hook-and-loop straps. For children with higher foot volume, this is therefore a model that is likely to fit well.
Care advice:
The shoes are made in China by a Hungarian shoe manufacturer.
