Feel on foot:
Superior feels so comfortable on the foot! This updated model of Superior 7 is noticeably made with more volume than the previous Superior 6 model. The shoes are still the narrowest of our Altra models. Lina has a wide and normal-height foot, and her foot fits really well in these shoes. She initially feels it is a bit tight over the instep, but tries loosening the laces and finds the adjustment helps a lot. Of this, Lina would take her usual size. Fanny has a high and wide foot, and this model is too tight over the instep for her. So if you have that combination of foot shape, this model will likely be too tight for you. If you want a roomier shoe with the same grip-friendly treads, we recommend trying the Lone Peak 9+ or Lone Peak 9+ Wide instead. Altra Superior 7 is your best companion when you want to venture on gravel roads, in woods and fields - whether you are taking a leisurely Sunday walk or aiming for a new personal best in a trail race.
