Altra Lone Peak 9+ Wide is the same model as the Lone Peak 9+, but with an extra-wide toe box – about 0.5 cm wider. This is the ultimate trail shoe, featuring the improved Vibram® Megagrip outsole and a durable ripstop mesh upper. The wide toe box and zero-drop design give your feet natural freedom of movement, while the Altra EGO™ midsole provides comfortable cushioning and excellent ground connection. Perfect for running, hiking, and everyday wear – a true all-round favorite!
Sizing tip: Altra tends to run small, so make sure to check the size chart before ordering!
Please note that Altra shoes run small, so you usually need to take a size larger than normal. To get the right size, do this: Measure your feet from heel to toe (e.g. with your heel against a wall and measure to the longest toe.) This is your foot measurement. Add about 1-1.7 cm extra space to get the right size. Keep in mind that you should have a lot of extra space in running shoes because your feet swell when you get hot during exercise.

Care instructions
To protect the shoes against dirt and moisture, we recommend using an impregnation spray such as Collonil Organic Cover regularly. Brush off dirt and, if needed, clean with a damp cloth before applying spray.
On-foot feel
These shoes feel spacious and comfortable – the perfect choice for long hikes or runs where your feet need plenty of room to move. There’s also generous vertical space, so the toes won’t press against the upper. The materials feel soft against the skin, especially around the heel where the padding is unusually comfortable.
Lina tested them in size 37, her regular size. They feel roomy, but going down a size makes them too short – so the length is true to size, while the volume feels generous. If you prefer a snugger fit, you can add an extra insole to reduce volume, or opt for the Superior model which is lower-profile. For extra-wide or high-volume feet, the Wide version of the Lone Peak offers even more space and is a great option!
