The Altra Lone Peak 9+ Gore-Tex is the perfect trail shoe for all your adventures. With a Vibram® Megagrip + Traction Lug outsole, you’ll get reliable grip on varied terrain, while the durable textile upper combined with a GORE-TEX® membrane keeps your feet dry in all weather conditions.
The wide toe box and zero drop design allow your feet to move naturally and freely. The Altra EGO™ midsole provides comfortable cushioning without sacrificing ground feel. Perfect for trail running, hiking, and everyday use – a true all-round favorite!
The shoes are slightly small in size. Do this to get the right size: Measure your feet from heel to toe (e.g. with your heel against a wall and measure to the longest toe.) This is your foot measurement. Add about 0.8-1.55 cm extra space to get the right size. Keep in mind that in running shoes you may want to have a lot of extra space because your feet swell when you get hot during exercise.

What we like about the Lone Peak 9+ GTX: Wide toe box:

On-foot feel:
The Lone Peak 9+ feels spacious and comfortable – the perfect shoe for long hikes or runs where your feet need plenty of room to spread out. There’s also ample vertical space, so your toes won’t press against the upper. The materials feel soft against the skin, and around the heel the padding is especially comfortable.
Lina tried them in size EU 37, her usual size. The length is just right, but they feel roomy in volume – going down a size makes them too short. If you prefer a snugger fit, you can add an extra insole to reduce volume, or consider the Superior model which has a lower profile. The Wide version of the Lone Peak offers even more space and is ideal for extra-wide or high-volume feet.
Care instructions:
- Brush off dirt and clean the shoes with a damp cloth as needed, always before applying waterproofing. To help repel dirt and maintain the waterproof qualities of the membrane, we recommend using an impregnation spray, such as Collonil Organic Cover, regularly.
