Altra Escalante 4 is a popular shoe for those who want to walk and run on hard surfaces with a wide toe box for the toes. A foot-shaped running shoe that allows your toes to spread out! Escalante has a low shoe weight and is incredibly light and comfortable on the foot. The sole is completely flat from heel to toe, without a heel lift. The sole has a total thickness of 24 mm, which feels comfortably cushioned by barefoot shoe standards. The outer sole is adapted for hard surfaces like gravel roads and asphalt.
The upper is made of textile and fits snugly around the foot, almost like a sock. Thanks to the airy material, the shoe breathes well and keeps your feet fresh even during sweaty sessions.
Altra Escalante can be used for running, walking, or everyday use - everything from power walks to quick runs and long-distance sessions. Escalante often becomes a favorite for everyday use thanks to its incredible comfort.

Tilasin nämä kengät n. 1/2 vuotta sitten kun plantaarifaskiitti ei meinannut millään helpottaa.
Työssäni joudun kävelemään paljon ja jalat on kovilla välillä. Fysioterapeutti suosittele Altran kenkiä ja päätin kokeilla näitä.
Aivan parhaat kengät ikinä! Todella kevyet ja pehmeät kengät jossa on myös kantapehmuste, joka sopii minulle. Todella miellyttävät.
Ja näillä on plantaari hävinnyt kun pohja on ohut mutta vaimennettu.
Ja mintun vihreä väri on ihana plussa!
Ostan toisetkin kun sen aika tulee.

Altras bästa :)
Skönaste modellen från Altra. Högre i volym än Superior, lägre än Lone Peak, och med lagom mycket dämpning för asfalt. Min fot är 24,5 cm lång, och storlek 40 blev perfekt.

Mina första barfotaskor!
Älskar dessa skor! Jag har ett fysiskt arbete var jag går massor. Har tidigare haft sjuka fötter efter arbetsdagen, samt att skorna slitits sönder fort.
Nu har jag haft mina Altra-skor i arbetet varje dag sedan jag köpte dem (2år sen..?) och de fungerar fint ännu! Och bäst av allt, mina fötter mår bra och har ingen värk!

Altra Escalante 4 has everything that good running shoes for asphalt should have: low shoe weight, tight fit, comfortable cushioning - but unlike traditional running shoes, also a wide toe box and a flat zero-drop sole. In this updated version, the midsole has been made with new material and the shoes are therefore even lighter and more flexible than previous models. You get the best of both worlds; a lightweight, foot-shaped and healthy shoe yet with cushioning that allows you to give your all on the roads without having to worry about running technique. Here, the only thing that might limit you is your own fitness – not the shoes!
Please note that Altra shoes run small in size, so you often need to take one size larger than usual.

How to Choose the Right Size:
- Measure your foot from heel to toe (e.g., place your heel against a wall and measure to the tip of your longest toe). This is your foot length.
- Add approximately 0.8–1.5 cm of extra space to determine the correct size.
- Keep in mind that for running shoes, it's advisable to allow extra room, as your feet tend to swell during exercise.
