Altra Escalante 4 has everything that good running shoes for asphalt should have: low shoe weight, snug fit, comfortable cushioning - but unlike traditional running shoes, it also features a wide toe box and a flat zero-drop sole. In this updated version, the midsole has been given new material, making the shoes even lighter and more flexible than previous models. You get the best of both worlds; a lightweight, foot-shaped, and healthy shoe but still with cushioning that allows you to go full throttle on the roads without having to worry about running technique. Here, it's only your own fitness that might limit you - not the shoes!

Please note that Altra shoes run small in size, so you often need to take one size larger than usual.

▷ How to measure your feet (video)

To get the right size, do this:

Measure your feet from heel to toe (e.g. with your heel against a wall and measure to the longest toe.) This is your foot measurement. Add about 0.8-1.5 cm extra room to get the correct size. Keep in mind that you may want to have a lot of extra room in running shoes because your feet swell when you get hot during exercise.

Altra Escalante 4 is a beloved shoe for those who want to walk and run on hard surfaces with a wide toe box for the toes. A foot-shaped running shoe that gives space for toes to spread out! The Escalante has a low shoe weight and is incredibly light and comfortable on the foot. The sole is completely flat from heel to toe, with no heel lift. The sole has a total thickness of 24 mm, which feels pleasantly cushioned in terms of barefoot shoe standards. The outsole is designed for hard surfaces such as gravel roads and asphalt.

The upper is made of textile and fits comfortably and snugly around the foot, almost like a sock. Thanks to the airy material, the shoe breathes well, keeping your feet fresh even during sweaty sessions.

Altra Escalante can be used for running, walking, or everyday use - everything from power walks to fast laps and long distance sessions. Escalante often becomes a favorite for everyday wear thanks to its incredible comfort.

Mycket bra

Jag provade Escalante 3 förra året, men tyckte att de tryckte obehagligt mot ovansidan av tårna. Med Escalante 4 så har de korrigerat detta, och tåboxen känns perfekt. Har gått mina första 30 kilometer i dem och har bara kännts bra.
