Fit and size advice:

• Note: Affenzahn shoes have a narrower fit. Suitable for narrow to normal-width and low to normal-height feet. A wide or high foot does not fit in this shoe.
• True to size, but follow the size chart.

On-the-foot feel:

• Very smooth and easy to open! Elliot, age 3, has a high and average-width foot. He gets the shoe on without trouble, but says it feels tight and wants to take it off again fairly quickly. His foot measures 15.5 cm and he’s trying size 27 (17.0 cm). Based on this, we conclude that the model doesn’t fit him very well. Maria, 4 years old, has a low and narrow foot. This model fits her well around the forefoot, but it's too loose at the heel and around the ankle and lower leg. She says her foot feels like it's “floating around” inside the shoe.

  Maria can’t really run in them, because when the shaft is tightened, the extra fabric bunches up and rubs against itself while she tries to run. Her foot measures 15.5 cm, and she’s trying on the same size as Elliot.

Care-instructions:

• Clean the shoes with a dry or damp cloth. Let them air-dry and avoid direct heat sources. We recommend treating the shoes with an impregnation spray, e.g. Collonil Organic Cover, to improve resistance to dirt and help maintain the water-resistant membrane. Use silicone-free products to preserve the membrane’s properties.
