To get the right size, do this:
Measure your child's feet by placing the foot inside a box or with the heel against a wall. Let the child put weight on the foot and measure from the wall to the longest toe. This is the child's foot measurement. Add 1 – 1.8 cm to this measurement to get the correct size. The inside measurements of the shoe are shown below.

Fit and size advice:
- Note: Affenzahn shoes have a narrower fit. Suitable for narrow to normal-width and low to normal-height feet. A wide or high foot does not fit in this shoe.
- True to size, but follow the size chart.
On-the-foot feel:
Very easy to open up thanks to the zipper and elastic laces! Elliot, age 3, has a high and average-width foot. His foot measures 15.5 cm, and he tries size 26 (16.9 cm). However, the shoe is too low, and he can’t get his foot into it. We try size 27, which fits better in height, but then the shoe becomes too long. So we conclude that this model is not the right fit for his foot. Maria, 4 years old, has a low and narrow foot. The shape of this model fits her foot well, but she finds the shoes a bit stiff, which makes it hard for her to run in them. Her foot measures 15.5 cm, and she’s trying on the same size as Elliot. With several Affenzahn models, the sole can feel stiff at first but softens with use. The zipper makes them easy to put on, but for a small child, it might be difficult to open by themselves.
Care-instructions:
- Clean the shoes with a dry or damp cloth. Let them air-dry and avoid direct heat sources. We recommend treating the shoes with an impregnation spray, e.g. Collonil Organic Cover, to improve resistance to dirt and help maintain the water-resistant membrane. Use silicone-free products to preserve the membrane’s properties.
