ROHDE has roots dating back to 1862 and stands for timeless comfort in a world full of temporary trends. With a focus on people and everyday needs, the brand creates products, services and environments that drive innovation, diversity and creativity. The story goes from the Louis Rohde tannery in Guben to its own shoe manufacturing and European factories in Germany and Austria, as well as a strong production base in Portugal since 1975. The journey has included both successes and setbacks.
Since 2017, under the Italian Inblu Group, ROHDE has undergone a rebranding and strategic realignment. Today, the focus is on sandals, slippers and comfortable shoes with a classic design and a well-thought-out fit. At the same time, the company is modernizing with digitalization and a creative center next to the headquarters. ROHDE is actively working to reduce its environmental impact and give back to nature, with concrete initiatives towards a greener future. The philosophy is simple: not “all people” – but the right employees in the right place. The result is sustainable shoes that are made to be used, loved and last a long time.
