The story of Collonil begins in Berlin in 1909, where Karl Esslen founded a company that quickly developed into an international player in shoe care. Together with the Salzenbrodt brothers, he created products that not only protected and cared for shoes, but also set new standards for quality and innovation. From the first factory premises in Kreuzberg to a global distribution network – Collonil has survived world wars, economic crises and generational changes without losing its focus: to create shoe care products of the highest class.

Collonil's DNA has always been customer focus, sustainability and technological development. Back in the 60s, they revolutionized the market with aerosols, and in the 90s, they were among the first to launch environmentally friendly alternatives such as air sprays and foam products.
