Why size charts matter when buying shoes

Finding the right shoe size is one of the most important factors in ensuring your shoes are comfortable and fit properly. At Widetoes.com, we put a lot of effort into creating and verifying accurate size charts. We carefully measure each shoe to provide reliable information on both length and width.

Size charts for kids' shoes

Size charts are especially important for children’s shoes, as a proper fit plays a key role in supporting healthy foot development.

We’re constantly working to improve our size charts. While some models may still be missing full sizing info, we’re committed to filling those gaps. Our goal is to make your shopping experience easier and help you choose the right size the first time.

Getting the size right also means fewer returns, which reduces environmental impact and keeps shipping costs down.

How to measure your feet to find the right size

In our YouTube video, we show you step by step how to measure your feet to ensure you choose the correct size.

Video Summary – How to Measure Your Feet

  1. Place your heel against a wall and apply weight to your foot.

  2. Measure from the wall to the tip of your longest toe. If your feet are different lengths, use the longer one.

  3. Add 1–1.5 cm of extra space for an optimal fit.

  4. Compare your result to the internal shoe measurements listed in our size charts.

Following these steps helps reduce the risk of choosing the wrong size – which means fewer returns and a smaller environmental impact. A win for everyone!

Important Notes for Kids' and Running Shoes

For children’s shoes, we recommend leaving 1.2–1.8 cm of extra space to allow room for growth.
For running shoes, it’s often a good idea to leave a little extra room as feet tend to swell during exercise.
