Vivobarefoot Primus Trail FG 3.5 is a barefoot shoe for trail running, outdoor and hiking. The shoes are made from recycled, vegan * high-performance materials. The lightweight and flexible Firm Ground outsole is made from a grippy rubber compound that provides excellent grip and good durability. With a 3 mm sole base, 2.5 mm studs and a textured arch for zoned grip, it is especially adapted for technical trail running on both wet and dry surfaces.
The new water-repellent upper is made largely from recycled materials and is a step towards more circular footwear. The quick-release lacing system allows for an easy adjustment of the fit for a snug fit around the ankle, while the spacious toe box gives your toes plenty of room to move freely.
Please note that Primus Trail is available in men's and women's models. The only difference is that the women's model is slightly narrower while the men's model is slightly wider. Men with narrow feet can therefore choose the women's model and women with wide feet the men's model.
To choose the right size, do this : Measure your foot. Place your heel against a wall and measure to the longest toe. This is your foot size. Add 0.6-1.5 cm to this measurement to know which size to choose. Keep in mind that when you exercise in the shoes, your feet get warm and swell a little, so choose closer to 1 cm extra, or slightly more. Fit and size advice:
- Length: True to size - take your usual size in these but follow the size chart below
- Width: Fits a narrow to wide foot
- Volume: Suitable for a low to normal foot height
- Toe shape: Steeply sloping from the big toe down towards the other toes. If you have a foot where the second and third toes are the same length as the big toe, you may need to take a size larger to make room towards the little toe side.
Care instructions:
- Brush off mud and clean with a damp cloth. Remove the insole and let dry at room temperature. Store away from direct sunlight and avoid placing the shoes on radiators. We recommend treating the shoes regularly with an impregnation spray. Spray regularly with e.g. Collonil Organic Cover to extend the durability and the water-repellent membrane.

*The main materials in all Vivobarefoot vegan products are synthetic and do not come from animals. However, there is not yet full transparency into the production of all minor components, such as glues and dyes, to ensure that they meet best practices for vegan products. Therefore, the shoes are considered vegan, but this cannot yet be fully guaranteed.
