Altra Superior 5 is a minimalist running shoe that feels light on the foot with its low shoe weight. With this shoe, you'll fly down the running track and no terrain is too difficult!
Superior, like other Altra shoes, is a foot-shaped running shoe that gives space for the toes to spread out. The toe box is wide while the shoe fits tight and securely around the ankle. The sole is completely flat from heel to toe, with no heel elevation. The sole has a total thickness of 21 mm, which is minimalist yet fairly cushioned by barefoot shoe standards.
The outsole is adapted for terrain with large grooves for good grip. The upper part of the shoe has a slightly reinforced front to protect the foot from twigs and branches. The shoes come with a "stone guard"; a rock shield that is an extra sole that when used makes the sole more stable to protect against sharp stones. If you choose to remove the extra sole, you get a shoe that is slightly more flexible and simultaneously more volume in the shoes.

Note that Altra shoes run small, so you often need to go one size larger than usual.
Here's how to get the right size: Measure your feet from heel to toe (e.g., with your heel against a wall and measure up to the longest toe). This is your foot measurement. Add about 0.8-1.5 cm extra space to get the right size. Keep in mind that in running shoes you like to have plenty of extra space because the feet swell when you warm up during training.
