Vivobarefoot Opanka barefoot sandals are a timeless and classic sandal in soft leather. Opanka is truly a beauty to behold with its minimalist and elegant design. Fit and size advice:
Length: Normal in size, slightly on the larger side. You can take your usual size or one size smaller.
Width: Fits from narrow to wide foot
Volume: Fits low to normal-height foot
Feel on the foot:
Wow, what a luxurious sandal! You can see how the leather is made from the best materials and holds really fine quality. The leather is soft against the skin and we think it molds to the foot after wearing the shoes a few times. We were hesitant about how the separated toe strap for the big toe would feel, but thanks to the wide strap that is neither too tight nor loose, the shoes fit perfectly on the foot. The sole feels flexible with a good barefoot feeling. Hanna, who has normal-width and high feet and usually wears size 39 in her shoes, has 39 in these as well and they fit perfectly. Heidi, who has wide and high feet and usually wears size 39, had to go down to size 38 in the sandals, but because she has a high foot, the 38s are too low for her. Sandra, who normally wears 38-39 in her shoes, has size 38 in the sandals and they fit very well on her normal-width and rather low feet.
Note that the shoes might stain slightly at the beginning due to the natural leather.

Regularly treat the shoes with shoe cream, e.g., Collonil Organic Cream, to keep the leather soft and durable.

Here's how to choose the right size:
Measure your foot. Place the heel against a wall and measure to the longest toe. This is your foot measurement. Add 0.3-1.2 cm to this measurement to know what size to choose. In sandals, you don't need much extra space in front of the toes, as there's nothing hitting the toes. However, the entire foot needs to fit on the sole, even when stepping forward and bending at the toe joints. Check the size chart below (we have measured the insole here at Widetoes).
Example: Your foot measurement is 25 cm. Then choose size 38 (25.7 cm) so you'll have 0.7 cm of extra space.
