The Lake MX239-X Wide is a high-performance MTB and gravel shoe designed for technical trails, demanding terrain and long-distance bike adventures. The model has been updated with an integrated tongue that is bonded to the inside of the upper for a more secure grip on the foot and improved stability. The result is more efficient power transfer - an important feature on loose and technical surfaces.
The fiberglass-reinforced heel counter provides a stable heel grip even on uneven surfaces. The MX239 also features a wider toe box and a more enveloping heel, providing a secure fit with plenty of room in the forefoot. The dual BOA® system with wider dial spacing makes it easy to fine-tune the fit over the forefoot.
The Mountain Competition real rubber outsole provides sure-footed traction and stability on demanding terrain. The Lake MX239 is built to deliver comfort, fit and performance - whether you're riding technical trails, heading out on gravel adventures or standing at the starting line for your next race.

Fit and size advice:
- X-Wide fits very wide feet and/or high foot volume, and is often the best choice if you are used to foot-shaped shoes or barefoot shoes and find that regular cycling shoes feel too tight in the forefoot.

The MX239 features an MX Competition last with a roomier toe box and a more enveloping heel. The wider toe box provides a more natural position for the foot and contributes to better stability, while the fit remains secure during intense cycling and racing.
The last provides enough space to reduce pressure over the toes, for example on steep climbs or technical sections where you need to walk or run with the bike.

Outsole:
The MX239 features a 100% carbon Lake Competition sole combined with a genuine rubber Mountain Competition outsole. The combination provides efficient power transfer, low weight and stability on a variety of surfaces.
The grippy rubber sole provides secure grip when you need to walk or run with the bike, and extends over the toe for extra protection against wear.
Closing system:
The MX239 uses the BOA® Fit System with dual Li2 dials for a precise and personalized fit. The system provides micro-adjustment in both directions and contributes to a stable, comfortable and secure feel even during long and demanding cycling sessions.
BOA® dials are replaceable and covered by BOA's lifetime warranty.
Upper part:
Helcor leather is specially developed to withstand heavy wear, scuffs and abrasion. Outlast® lining in the heel and tongue helps regulate temperature and provides a soft and comfortable feel while contributing to ventilation and a stable grip around the foot.
