Material:
Upper: Nubuck leather Lining: Sheepskin Insole: Wool / recycled PU Outsole: Rubber
What we love about these shoes:
Warm and comfortable shoe that is easy to slip on Wide toe box so the toes can spread out Thin and flexible outsole that also provides good grip
Fit & size advice:
Suitable for a normal to wide foot Instep: Low to normal foot volume - if you have a high arch, Polaris may feel too low Size advice: Runs small. Due to the thick lining, the shoe feels smaller than the size chart shows. You can have the same size of Polaris as in, for example, Be Lenka Entice, Ranger, Winter, or Snowfox. If you, for example, have size 40 in Be Lenka Prime, Icon, or Barebarics sneakers, we recommend size 41 of Polaris.
Be Lenka Polaris is a warm and comfortable barefoot winter shoe that matches with most outfits thanks to its simple yet stylish design. Polaris is a convenient shoe that is quickly pulled on when heading out on an errand but is also suitable for walks and outdoor play in the snow. Be Lenka Polaris has an upper in nubuck leather and a warm inside in thick sheepskin. The outsole consists of a 4 mm thick rubber sole which feels a bit thicker due to the deep grooves in the sole that provide good grip even on ice and snow. Polaris has excellent barefoot features; the toe box is wide and allows the toes to spread out. The flexible outsole provides good ground contact and allows the foot to move freely while providing good protection from sharp objects and cold temperatures. Be Lenka barefoot shoes are handcrafted in Portugal under strict European regulations regarding health, safety, and quality. Care instructions: Wipe off any dirt with a damp cloth. Regularly use a moisture-protection spray (e.g. Collonil Protect & Care) for the leather to better withstand moisture and dirt so the shoes stay nicer longer. Size chart
Here's how to choose the right size (to reduce return shipping and save the environment):
Print out this template – Print settings: A4, 100% size. Check that the printout is the right size by placing a credit card at the outlined spot Fold the paper 90 degrees and place the foot with the heel against the edge Check that there is at least a finger's width in front – about 1-2 cm extra room (the thick wool lining takes up space in the shoe so the shoes feel smaller than the printout) Order the shoes, try them at home The shoes fit well when there is room in front of the toes, and you can walk without the heels slipping
If you do not have access to a printer: Measure your feet (with the heel against a wall, up to the longest toe). Add 1-2 cm for extra room inside the shoes and follow the size indications in the size chart. The size chart shows the inner measurements of the shoe.
